Core Technology Team Leader

Position Summary
Join a rapidly growing e-Commerce Software Company as a Senior Team Leader and Technology leader at our company site in Herzeliya, Israel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to travel 25 % of time
- Join the Core/Infra group as a lead Team Leader.
- Assume responsibility over the development of core search technology modules in Mercado's search engine including query language, NLP capabilities and rules engine.
- Responsible for leading and implementing software development processes using object oriented methodologies
- Manage 2-3 team members.
Education and Experience
- BS Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 minimum years of experience
Required: Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and the Internet.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.
- Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.
- Minimum 5 year experience in software development and 2 years as a team leader.
- Expert level knowledge in C, C++ and multi-threaded development.
- Experience in Performance analysis and tuning of multi-threaded and distributed applications.
Preferred: Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with search technologies and algorithms - an advantage
- Experience in compilers development - an advantage
