Senior Web Technology Team Leader (Java Server and Client)

Position Summary
Join a rapidly growing e-Commerce Software Company as a Senior Team Leader and Technology leader at our company site in Herzeliya, Israel. In addition of action as a Team Leader, the successful candidate will also hold full responsibility for Mercado's Web Technologies (involving other teams as well).
The team is responsible for development of the CMC – The Commerce Merchandizing Console of the Mercado platform. The console enables merchandizing managers updating detailed selling strategies on the site in a real-time manner. We're looking for an experienced, creative and highly motivated team leader, who will lead the team to meet its future challenges. The position requires leading the development of future versions of our product in various technologies, to support new features and future robustness requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to travel 25% of time
- At least 3 years experience as a TL of 4 people or more.
- Natural Leader - Highly capable leading both people & technology, good experience in R&D project management.
- Vast architectural experience, focus in Front End technologies.
- Must have Hands on capabilities.
Education and Experience
- B.Sc. in Computer Science from one of the leading universities or a higher degree
- 3 minimum years of experience
Required: Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and the Internet.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.
- Must have good command of the English language, oral and written.
At least 5 years experience with
- Java / Web development (JSP, Servlets, HTTP)
- Proven experience in OOP / OOD
- Web 2.0 technologies (DHTML, JavaScript, AJAX)
- Java EE technologies: Hibernate, Spring framework, Struts and similar
- Familiarity with Relational DB, SQL
- Experience in architecture of large software systems
- Experience in various software development methodologies (agile, scrum)
Preferred: Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge in C / C++
- .Net Framework / C#
Classification: Exempt, Salary
Compensation: Depending on Experience.
